  • LINK This is amazing! I love living in small town Ohio for this very reason..... COMMUNITY. So, thank you to the local businesses, friends and customers who are supporting us. For those who've inquired, the best help you can be is to let NUFM that you'd like to see us at the farmers market and request an expedited audit so that we can begin participating. It's a shame that we have to ask to be treated equally as others, but all we want is a fair opportunity to provide our quality, wholesome and local products. Thanks for #supportsirna .....our customers and friends make the struggles of farming worrth it. So thank you kindly and please continue to spread the word!

In this town, we like to think of ourselves as somewhat culinary ambassadors. We are upset to hear of the recent hold North Union Farmers Market has placed on Sirna's farm & market from participating in the markets which they have been a part of for years! They passed their audit in 2014 with flying colors while others have not been through any audit. Anyone that knows the Sirna family is aware that they are the first to step up to charity, support our young ppl, and donate product. Craig Sirna is a mentor to many young culinary professionals. This act could be detrimental to the farm! We don't have many farms left in our community! Please, don't just support local- stand up for local! Please spread the word!!!! #supportsirna 01/10/2015
  • LINK Customers & Friends:

Unfortunately at this time we are not allowed to attend the North Union Shaker Indoor Market, which we have attended and supported for years supplying quality products. We were advised that we need to wait until we are inspected to see if we raise our beef. We were inspected by a North Union Crocker Park Farmers Market Manager in 2014, where they visited our farm and were shown our herd of cattle, amung seeing our other farming practices. Based on the results of our inspection we were allowed to continue selling our high quality products and did so at multiple NU Farmers Markets throughout the 2014 season.

We were told that we are on the top of the list for an audit (again), but are not allowed to attend until that has been completed, even though other producers are currently attending the market despite them not having been "re"-audited.

We feel that we have been singled out for unknown reasons that have caused harm (both personally and financially) to our family, our farm, and our stewardship of the earth, preventing us from providing healthy, quality products to our customers and their families, many of whom have become our good friends.

If you were looking forward to shopping at Sirna’s during the Shaker Indoor Market, hang in there while we try to resolve this issue as soon as possible. In the meantime, you can learn more about farm during the off-season through our website, sirnasfarm.com, or by speaking with one of the many boy scout troops, senior citizen groups, culinary schools, Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association organizers & participants, or local reporters that have come and toured our property and seen firsthand our agricultural practices.

Thank You for Your Continued Support,
    The Sirna Family
